Meet Dr. Johnson

Dr. Johnson was born in upstate New York and grew up in Rhode Island, the son of a physician and a school teacher.  He attended Atlantic Union College and then Loma Linda University to complete his dental training.  His first post was at the US Naval base on Adak, Alaska, where he served his fellow navy servicemen from 1969-1971.  After setting up a successful private practice in South Lancaster, MA and working there for 6 years, he made the decision to serve those who are less fortunate by working as a dentist in Dhaka, Bangladesh.  He ran the Adventist Dental Clinic successfully for 10 years before going into private practice in Dhaka for another 15 years.

Dhaka had changed during the 25 years that Dr. Johnson lived there, and he made the decision in 2002 to return to the United States for the safety of his family.  He set up practice in Niles, Michigan and has been living nearby in Cassopolis ever since.

Dr. Johnson enjoys many things outside of his dental responsibilities. He is an avid bird watcher, as you will notice when you come into the office.  He also enjoys following political news, watching his beloved New England Patriots, and traveling to exotic destinations that promise sightings of the few birds he has not catalogued.  Dr. Johnson loves spending time with his family, which include four children and six grandchildren.  Scott is a dental consultant, Jeremy is a dentist in Monroe, Washington, Deborah is studying for nursing school, and Lucy is attending college with the intent of becoming a physician.  Life is good!
